Responsibilities

 

The Finance Data Analyst position is reponsible for coordinating the reporting requirements within the Finance department. Identify opportunities for improving efficiencies, document current reporting processes and determine ways to improve. Act as the liaison between the Finance department and other departments.

 

Job Functions Include.

  • Monitor a variety of cash reports including Receivables, Subsequent Cash and exception reporting via various analytical tools including excel to ensure that information is accurate and clean
  • Act as a liaison with internal departments and third party vendors in identifying and resolving various issues including workflow bottlenecks and reworked items to streamline standard tasks and automate reporting
  • Gather, evaluate, analyze, document, and work with stakeholders to streamline current Cash and Receivable processes
  • Understand end-to-end processes and interdependencies to be able to provide business aligned solutions
  • Develop tools, reports, and process documentation
  • Support the finance operations with technical expertise along with evaluating opportunities to optimize workflow, reduce manual touchpoints and to standardize processes for the consistent delivery of information
  • Provide continuous alignment of data sources
  • Assist in managing the testing, documentation, and implementation of enhancements to the various finance systems
  • Identify, coordinate and ensure integrity of data being imported/exported within the various financial systems
  • Provide variance analysis of key accounts
  • Provide feedback on internal controls and segregation of duties for areas of review
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job
  • Perform Essential Job Functions and Duties with or without reasonable accommodation

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business
  • Analytics/math/computer background desired
  • 2+ years of experience with systems/data/reporting
  • Working knowledge and experience with financial processes and associated programs
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel is essential) & other office productivity tools (email, calendars, etc.) Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, Macros, concatenate, custom filtering, data validation, index match, offset)

  • Ability to work well under deadlines, ability to multi-task, ability to effectively prioritize
