    UNITE HERE HEALTH LA Dental Center is seeking a Dental Operations Consultant to assist in transitioning our Dental Center operations to a new director. This position will last approximately six (6) months. The position will involve collaborating with the leadership team in developing and revising policies and internal processes to maintain the quality of care received by our patients, while increasing efficiency. Our ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in dental clinic operations, healthcare, regulatory requirements, patient and provider relations, and budgeting.

    Responsibilities

    • Completes consulting deliverables within agreed upon parameters
    • Identifies trends and recommends corrective actions related to the structure and delivery of care to patients
    • Evaluates coverage and appropriateness of dental treatment to patients
    • Recommends solutions for streamlining and integrating processes and systems to ensure sustainability and growth
    • Develops and assists in implementing policies and procedures
    • Conducts compliance reviews, reports findings and recommends solutions
    • Conducts analysis of financial/productivity results and recommends solutions
    • Conducts analysis of utilization software and recommends solutions
    • Analyzes and reviews the budget and recommends cost saving measures while maintaining the Dental Center's high level of quality care
    • Markets the Dental Center in a positive way to participants
    • Creates and assists in implementing innovative solutions to practice challenges
    • Evaluates and investigates cases of suspected fraud, abuse and quality of care concerns
    • Develops, recommends and implements solutions to ensure the Dental Center is running smoothly
    • Conducts analysis of resource planning, work breakdown, risk management, and communication and reports findings and recommends solutions
    • Monitors government regulations and programs
    • Maintains awareness of industry trends

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
    • 3 - 5 years of experience minimum, which includes knowledge of dental practice operations required
    • 2 - 3 years of supervising staff in a dental office setting
    • Working knowledge and experience with dental practice software such as Dentrix or similiar software required
    • Experience in a public health setting preferred
    • Intermediate level of Microsoft office and Excel skills
    • Strong organization, analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environmemt
    • Effectively envisions, develops, and implements innovative strategies/approaches to address competitive, growth-oriented, and complex business, organizational, and workforce issues
    • Activity and project management, planning, prioritizing, organizing, and time-management skills
