    Responsibilities

    • Provide direction and management oversight to assigned functions in the areas of budgets, operations, and staffing (selection, performance evaluation, coaching & development, etc.).
    • Foster and manage relevant Las Vegas-based vendor relationships and their respective contracted arrangements
    • Oversee the vendor bid process for relevant vendors (banking, security, equipment rental, janitorial, etc.)
    • Conducts ad hoc analysis as required.
    • Monitors daily cash flow to ensure an adequate level of funds.
    • Oversees the Cash Management function and manage relationship with US Bank.
    • Directs policy regarding payment to vendors.
    • Manage resources to support all of the Fund's activities, and in particular to ensure funding to fuel the Fund's strategic initiatives, including growth through mergers and insourcing of health care services where appropriate. Responsible for short- and long-term planning and forecasting, the VP of Finance must continually manage and grow the Fund's revenue streams.
    • Financial policy review, and the development of financial projections.
    • Identify problems and offer new approaches or initiatives to advance the Fund over both the short- and long-term. He or she will serve as a resource for the administration and trustees concerning financial management and accounting issues affecting the Fund.
    • Leads and manages the budgeting process regarding Las Vegas administrative and capital budget, including the Health Center budget, for formal budget approval by the Trustees.
    • Prepares budget variances for presentation to the Trustees as needed. Assists with Return on Investment (ROI) calculations as required.
    • Advises Executive Management on exceptions to payment policies and oversees Fund compliance regarding expense reimbursement requests.
    • Manages the Finance function including the periodic review of internal controls and ensures that proper procedures and are in place. Monitoring staff and systems to ensure the Finance function is operating at an optimum level.

    • Authority to release assets: Per the Fund’s Disbursement Policy
    • Approve purchase orders and directs policy regarding payment to vendors
    • Secretary & Treasurer of Nevada Health Solutions, LLC, Culinary Health Fund Administrative Services, LLC, and Neighborhood Health Center, LLC.
    • Prepare monthly financials, and annual budget
    • Schedule Board of Directors/ Board of Manager meetings
    • Organize agendas
    • Leads meetings
    • Present financial reports and explain variances
    • Calculate PMPM or PEPM to be charged by LLC’s to Fund or external clients
    • Responsible for subrogation functions related to cases referred to the Fund by Third Party Administration
    • Responsible for subpoena handling process for subpoenas received in Las Vegas
    • Completes D&O and E&O insurance applications pertaining to St. Louis Square or Las Vegas based LLC’s, and assists Aurora office with completion of application for Fund wide policies.
    • Bills tenants and collect Rent and CAM
    • Oversees improvement projects
    • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job

    Qualifications

    Years of Experience and Knowledge

    • 7 ~ 10 years of direct experience minimum
    • 3 ~ 5 years of supervisor experience required
    • Considerable knowledge/experience in the majority of the following areas: function and people management, payroll, accounts payable, preparation of G/L & financial statements, preparation & reconciliation of operating budgets and design of management reports
    • Working knowledge of financial and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems with corresponding analysis tools required including excel to ensure independent systems operate seemlessly and at an optimum level
    • Knowledge of purchasing, property management, the RFP/RFI process a plus
    • Knowledge of the financial aspects related to employee benefits, i.e., pension, 401(k), Section 125, etc. a plus 

    Education, Licenses, and Certifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required
    • Preferred: Master’s degree in related field
    • Preferred: Certification CPA
    • CMA preferred

    Skills and Abilities

    • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
    • Professional presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (Excellent written/verbal)
    • Bi- or Multi-lingual skills (written and verbal): A Plus
