    The Technical Lead is responsible for the day-to-day technical support of the various systems used by the Operations staff and to make business process decisions related to systems which ensure functionality.  This role is responsible for overseeing plan configuration, product building, and automation of eligibility plan logic, writing configuration enhancements and providing logical cost-effective fixes.  The Technical Lead is also responsible for the reporting requirements within the department and identifying opportunities for improving efficiencies, documenting current processes, and escalation of criticalities.

    • Builds and provides reporting on various metrics using system data to show ROI on current processes/turnaround time, etc.
    • Coordinates with staff and management to ensure data output is accurately maintained and seamless to users
    • Completes technical analysis to track/trend bugs or manual work-arounds to recommend enhancements to improve ROI
    • Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines by maintaining automated processes to mitigate risk
    • Oversees all contact with external vendors and internal resources for employer portal and employer/union requests for data
    • Participates in data analysis and innovation meetings for all Enterprise Projects that the department is a part of
    • Reviews and approves Specs drafted by staff for Vitech and other systems including all Enterprise Project requests for configuration and plan changes/enhancements 
    • Supports the Technical Team in researching data to make business decisions related to systems which ensure functionality while improving efficiencies and ROI
    • Plans, analyzes, and evaluates programs and services, operational needs, and fiscal constraints
    • Supervises, leads, and delegates work and coaches, mentors, develops employees
    • Analyzes problems, identifies and develops alternative solutions, projects consequences of proposed actions, and implements recommendation/solutions
    • Assists with developing and coordinating policies and procedures
    • Responsible for the oversight of continued employee training requirements and quality initiatives
    • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibilities and requirements of the job

    Education and Certifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required

    Knowledge and Experience

    • 3 ~ 5 years of related experience minimum in a technical role working with large amounts of system data
    • Working knowledge and experience in SQL, Excel reports including Pivot tables, Macros and Queries
    • Experience with Power BI preferred
    • 2 ~ 3 years of experience leading cross-functional teams
    • 1 ~ 2 years of experience managing others

    Essential Skills and Abilities  

    • Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
    • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
    • Basic SQL skills
    • Perform research, compile and analyze data and write clear, concise and accurate reports
